I seriously wanted a pet monkey for a while. I figured, it's infinitely better than a dog. It has a brain, you don't have to clean up after it, and you can teach it to do some cool things.

I researched it and realized it's basically a lifelong commitment. They live for around 40 years. There are serious psychological issues you have to deal with. At one point, the monkey is basically guaranteed to attack you as a means of asserting control. Almost anyone that has a pet monkey has been bitten several times.
