It's hard to criticize since you won the hand, but it's safe to say that you were EXTREMELY lucky that he called given your read

Also note that if you had just called the raise, villian would have either potted it (dumb play) or checked to you (in which case he would call a pot bet from you). In both cases, you win half of his remaining stack.
