At micro I think you just have to bet your good hands, don't get tricky it will just cost you bets.
Starting at micro isn't a bad way to go but I am a big proponent of starting at something like 1/2 or 2/4 if your going to play the game seriously. If you understand the basics of the game and can stand to lose $50 take a shot. If your not comfortable with that then just go up 1 level.
