Just my advice:
It sounds like when you basically shut down around her friends that closed the door for you. She intially liked you and was enjoying being with you and as such probably was looking forward to showing you off to her friends, but if you changed your actions and you didn't act the way she was expecting her feeling cooled for you.
Take a note from our buddy George Costanza and always "go out on a high note." Your dating needs showmanship. Leave her wanting more.
