FWIW, I wouldn't have check-called the turn on hand #1, when the blank hits. I'd most often be check-raising the turn if my opponent is aggressive, or leading the turn. Last thing you want to do in that situation is give the free card to the likely flush-draw. When I check-raise the turn, all the money is likely going in the middle there.

I do think putting your money in the middle on the end when the flush hits is probably a bad play. What likely hand are you ahead of, besides KJ, maybe AQ/QJ?
