Nice report.
Gavin was two to my right on Friday's $3000. He raised 90% of the pots and built a stack doing so, rode a rollercoaster for about 45 min, and then put all his chips in the middle with an OESFD. Opponent had a bigger flush draw and crippled him.
Other pros I played with and observed also seemed to take this "double up early or do something else" strategy to its limit. I assume in the mid-levels Gavin (and others) became less maniacal.
