Default Re: is this true? can someone make this much at SNG\'s?

Oh, yeah. You are right. My bad. I really should drink my morning coffee before answering these mathy posts.

What's first prize in these things? 1K? It's still very unlikely that anyone could do this. I suppose if you're really bored, that you could sit and watch him for an hour and see how he does it. The problem with SNG's (higher limits) is that people play very similarly and I don't think that the profit is that high for anyone. You really are basically chopping up the one (or possibly 2) very bad players' entries and that's it, less the house vig. A simple calculation would be to take the total pool of each tourney, 2K and chop it up 8 ways, so this is 250 a person. What is the casino take? I think that the buyins are something like 200+20, so each "shark" is making 30 bucks per tourney, and this is about 1500 a day. In fact, I don't think that the margins are anywhere near this good, but I don't have a lot of experience in playing these things, but I know that they play a lot better in the 200 SNG's than the 30 and 50 ones.
