Default Re: Kidney stones

I had one this summer (7mm, that's right, nuthin' small on me). Had the ESWL (shockwave treatment) and a ureter stent put in, went back a week later, they said the shockwaves had no effect and I'd need the ESWL surgery again. Unfortunately, they were booked for the next two months. For those that don't know, the stent feels like somebody is grabbing your testicles from the inside a little too tightly. You also have to pee every five seconds and it hurts a little each time. It was a loooooong two months.

Out of desperation (of both the stent and the possibility of another potentially useless operation), I tried lithanol and the coke-and-asparagus remedy. Right before the second surgery, the surgeon came out and said my stones had broken up and gotten smaller and they'd be able to pull out what was left of the stones and the stent. I'm not normally one to try some quack remedies I found on the net, but I did in this case, and those were the results. Maybe it was all a delayed reaction from the first ESWL, but who knows... I certainly can't say they DIDN'T work. In any case, with the stent gone, I walked out of that operation feeling like a groggy Superman.

They also gave me a sheet of paper with a huge list of things I should never eat again and some I could eat in moderation. Seeing as how I would die of starvation if I followed their list, I'm choosing to gambooool and eat whatever I want.

It would take what, 5-10 minutes to eat 1 oz. of semen? Compared to the pain, hassle, operation(s), etc., I'd take the man-juice any day.

Coke and asparagus: on a relatively empty stomache, drink a 2-liter bottle of coke (caffeine-free is fine) over a two-hour period, followed immediately by 6-8 oz. of puree asparagus.
