Default Fort Minor (if you like Linkin Park or Hip Hop...)

... you will probably like this album. Fort Minor is Mike Shinoda's hip hop moniker (and he kind of teams up with Styles of Beyond - who's on like 6 tracks), and Rising Tied is the name of the album. I picked it up, after reading some reviews (I was very hesitant before reading the reviews and hearing samples, because I'm not really a rock fan and never really heard Linkin Park), and am impressed. It is a very solid hip hop album, with a bit of a rock feel to it. It has more keys than most hip hop, and the drums are more rock than hip hop, but overall a very solid effort. Black Thought and Common guest appear and give stellar performances as expected. Some standout tracks: Right Now, Where'd You Go, Back Home, Cigarettes (nice commentary on hip hop), and Kenji.

Oh yeah, Jay-Z was the executive producer.
