Default Re: Continued AK hand

[ QUOTE ]
Do you change how you play if the flop is rainbow rather than two tone?

Here's what I'm thinking. We didn't do a magnificent job protecting our hand preflop. Are we getting paid off enough (this is a $33) by weaker aces to make this line valuable?

[/ QUOTE ]

a weaker ace is giving you his whole stack 90+% of the time on this flop in this situation.

bet the flop. you're going to get action from flush draws, sets, two pairses and all aces. if you know that the guy could think "hey that's a weak bet, i'll push even more of the time" i bet a little less than i bet otherwise. you're not likely to get him to put all his chips in with less than an ace on the flop.

if i know the guy doesn't checkraise, i check behind on the flop to induce a bluff on the turn.

you should be comfortable going to the felt with your hand heads up in this spot 100% of the time.
