Default Re: Trying yo understand my loses

[ QUOTE ]

#1 Are you playing within your bankroll? If you're upset about these losses, which seem insignificant to me, I'm thinking you aren't. Also, if you can't handle losing a buy-in by getting Aces cracked, I think you should reconsider playing cards.

[/ QUOTE ]
I probably shouldn't have quoted that specific AA case. Losing those is not what upset me (though I didn't ENJOY it).
I was talking about my overall numbers.
That's why I stated the fact that I seem to have loads of small loses rather than many big ones.

#2 Have you looked at your starting hand requirements? Are you opening or worse yet, open-limping with marginal holdings out of position? I really think that you need to look at this closely. If most of your losses are small, then you're likely limping out of position with weak holdings and check-folding the flop. As you said, these add up.

That sounds like a good direction.
I will try to focus more on the smallish loses.
As you say, I will look at hands where I limped pre-flop and then folded on the flop.
Of course, many of them will be ok (like small PP etc.) but I am sure I will find many ones that are not.
