It's a table game, you can't/shouldn't be able to beat it.

Well, sure, that's the concept presented to the casinos when Sklansky was pitching his idea. That's just basic marketing/sales strategy.

He played on their inherit greed, knowing their lesser brains would only estimate the piles of money they'd rake in. Yes, they realized he would also receive a small rake. But hey, what's an annuity or two among friends? No big deal.

Ah, but they forgot they were dealing with David Sklansky, who understands more than just a little of human nature, ROI, ROR, EV and implied odds.

His new game, undoubtedly, will be a gigantic success. It's popularity will add gazillions of $ to the licensees coffers. Stories of players' success and failures in playing will abound. Legends will be created. Worldwide attention will be drawn.

At the peak, when all the odds have been plotted, every known nuance and subtlety of every possible combination of wagering has been graphed, the realization will begin to set in. "Hey, this is a house game. Tha house ain't gonna give up any edge I can live offa." That, as David knows full well, and I say has planned for, is the epicenter of timing for a book release! < cue background effects >

A book written by the very man who designed the game! A book written by a man who knows of what he writes! A guide to +EV from the only mind capable of writing such a book! To those capable of understanding it, the key to unlocking the house edge!

Just imagine how many of a book like this could be sold. Imagine the profits reaped thru a publishing company owned by the author. Think over the potential income from DVD's. Drool over the thought of all those young hotties flocking to his book signings. Flaunting their tender flesh, hoping to be granted time with the great one.

Now do you see why I wonder how long before the book is announced? Do you not think DS has not already forseen all this? Oh, ye of little faith. It's truly disheartening.
