Given the health risks involved, and that the adult film world tends to be pretty wise about stuff like this- I think somebody's yanking your chain.

Are you serious? Since when is the adult industry wise about health?
It took massive public influence to get gay porn to start showing the use of condoms and hetero porn STILL refuses to use condoms.
Regular testing is NOT health-wise.

you have no clue what you're talking about. A lot of big-company porn (Vivid, Wicked, etc.) is ALWAYS with condoms. Most internet sites aren't regulated at all by the porn "industry," so to include them in with your stats would be a gross disservice.

In the12 years since I first worked in porn, I think you can count the number of HIV cases in the porn world on one hand. Maybe two. That's a hell of a lot more safety conscience than the legitimate side of the film business.

If given a choice between HAVING to bang a porn chick or bang a random hot girl off the street - I'd always choose the porn chick - because I KNOW she's safe.

This is serious business. You think these companies are going to risk their livlihood on an AIDS scandal? No way. The government is just waiting for a reason to shut them down and that would be it.

Performers get tested a mandatory once every month - AND they have to list who they have worked with in the past month. Everybody is screened. I've sent girls home who have shown up without a current test - and that's for a soft, girl-girl scene - no exchange of fluids!

Anyway...the industry is safe. Period. Is it 100% safe? Of course not. But I'm sure it's safer than the skank you banged last week!
