As I understand it,
Mohegan's slowness to act has little to do with not being convinced of demand, and more to do with their total inability to run a poker room without degenerating into a cesspool of corruption. (This was before I played poker, so i'm piecing together the story from what others tell me.)
It's STILL rumored that they'll be opening one soon. I guess the obvious demand has finally outstripped their lack of ability to run a poker operation. Supposedly this time dealers will pool tokes, which is disappointing to those of us who like good dealers but probably understandable given their rumored track record of dealers conspiring with floorpersons to arrange plum assignments.
