I am in a similar situation, but with a very stable GF (ie. no "what-if" contigency for moving out established). I make a lot more than her. I pay 2/3 of the rent/bills, she pays 1/3. But she cooks and cleans a lot, and if she was a lazyshit we'd have issues. But it has worked well so far. I don't think that there is anything wrong with paying more. You're still just getting a discount on your rent anyways.
