Default Passive Play for metagame purposes.

Two days ago - UB - $2/$4 - 4 handed.

I'm on the button and pick up A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. MP raises and I 3-bet. MP calls.

FLOP Q95 rainbow.

MP proceeds to check-call EVERY SINGLE STREET to the river and tables AA for the winner.

I proceed to tilt off 26BB's before quitting and following the session I trace the spiral back to this hand as having started it all.

I never realized how bad that hand tilted me at the time. It wasn't the fact that I lost, but the fact that villian had the audacity to just sit back and let me fire every single street for him and never proclaiming the strength of his hand.

I'm thinking about adding this play once in awhile purely for metagame purposes short-handed. I'm curious if anyone on this forum ever uses this. PURPOSELY not making as much as you could with very strong holdings/flops to set-up future hands or tilt opponents? Interesting concept which I'd like to explore more.
