Actually I did a little investigation of that on poker stove.

With 5 suckers, I mean callers, that will pay you off to the river raising with 86s on the button yields 17.5% pot equity which is higher than you should have normally vs 5 players. If one of them have AA then your potequity is 15.3% but you have position.

They might all check to you on the flop giving that needed free card for the gut or you pickup an OE draw on the turn.

But this is good from the button because you only have 2 ways to win. top pair aint cutting it with small 0 and 1 gap suited connectors.

AND the game has to be looooooose and little old ladies calling to the river with bottom pair. Well maybe it doesnt need to be that loose.
