If you are talking about full-ring then any difference is negligable. IMO the play is the same, looser if you are talking about Party where $1 $2 full is a rock garden.
There are still plenty of ace chasers and those who cannot fold any pair which is all a guy or gal can hope for.
As long as you are properly rolled for the limit and can quickly get over losing $24 in one hand rather than the $12 you are used to then make the step. It is nice when you start winning those bigger pots.
