bet the flop.
clearly you have AK, you raised preflop.
the way you played it you should have folded to the turn bet since the reason you checked the turn was because you felt you were behind to an A or a 9. if you didn't feel you were behind you should have bet the turn (and the flop).
the only way to avoid being in situations like this is to collect reads. and even then sometimes the board doesn't cooperate with us and we lose with premium pocket pairs. next hand.
