Default Re: How to translate prima rakeback

[ QUOTE ]
Prima calculates mgr by contributed rake which results in much lower mgr than party or absolute. They offer higher than normal rakeback however. Does anyone know how to translate prima rakeback percentages to the other system like empire's?

On average the two methods produce the same MGR. Each approach takes the total rake collected and divides it up amongst the players at the table.

It's only when you consider individual players that a difference emerges. So no general formula is possible. Loose players and especially those who are loose postflop do best in the Prima method. Merely seeing a lot of flops doesn't help much. For example, suppose you complete the SB and fold the flop in what becomes a 10 BB pot that is raked $3. You will get a 1/40 share equal to 7.5 cents of MGR. It's the players who went to the river that get most of the $3 of MGR.
