Getting 7-1, you need 14% equity pre-flop 4 way in the BB to make this an easy call. Q9o is there. There are two things about this spot that are significant.
One is the scope of rationalizing equity and hand values is maginified immensely bewteen online and live. DB's and experience/recall are two every different things.
Second is the unquantifiable value in how a good player can play a marginal hand by winning the most and losing the least.
If you can't do the second thing, the EV and all that stuff about the first thing are meaningless. You must be able to get away from hands like Q9o, that have pre-flop value, when the only value they have for you at the moment is a possibly/probably less than good TPBK.
