I don't see how you're overcommitting yourself... you havent even put in 10% of your stack yet...
The line looks fine too. If he raises, i'm not quite sure what to do, as his stack isnt as deep as yours. I'd probably slow down, but have trouble folding to any further bets he makes, since he could be raising here with AJ or KQ or 99 or something too, not just JJ/TT/88/JT.
