This is kind of off-topic and probably a dumb question, but when you guys are talking about a 2.5X BB raise from the SB what exactly does this mean??

Does this mean that when the blinds are 10/20 and you want to raise 2.5X BB that you raise 40 to a total of 50 or do you raise 50 to a total of 60?
