1st hand - nice read - who cares? Your read seems based more on fear than anything else. You're sitting there with top set, on that board, worried about 1 hand. Yikes.
As far as the way hand 1 was played - here's a good recent thread (do you read the digests on this board? great stuff) about how fast playing a hand is usually the correct answer-
Fast Playing >>> Slow Playing or C/R Most of the Time
