I was never big into attending classes (at least until my junior year in business school), so I pulled a couple of these my first two years in order to cram a semester's worth of reading into one night. I'm guessing its easier to "study" in the all-nighter rather than "write a paper", since I was hopped up on dexatrim or whatever and had difficulty concentrating towards the end. The best is afterwards, when you'll sleep for 2 days straight.
