I treat hand 1 as WA/WB. If I raise I only get action from hands that beat me. I didn't consider the flush draw likely-- but if he does have it, he could reraise all-in unless I committed myself (which would skewer me if I was against a better ace).
If I'm ahead he's probably drawing very slim, plus I have a gutshot to compensate.
The river bet seemed very much like an "I know I can't win this pot unless I bet, so I bet" bet. Getting 3:1 I figure I'm right often enough to call.
