sorry, i guess to answer your question more precisely, on hand 1: given that you checked the turn, you must know that you will face a bet on the river. if you werent comfotable doing that, then bet. but checking and calling the bet on the river i think saves you money as he is then value betting, rather than extracting the maximum. with a bet you can only move him off of draws KQh, or some weird straight draw that he prob. isnt holding.
hand 3: given your image, the range would be fairly large. is he trying to double up, or is he picking on you? either way, i think your call is fine.
