Default Poker Essays (Malmuth)

In Poker Essays, Mason Malmuth had some estimates about bankroll requirements (BR) and hourly expectation (HE) for various games. Comparing 10-20 limit for a "good" player, he wrote:

Limit holdem. BR = 4900, HE = 20
Stud. BR = 3200, HE = 20
8 or better. BR = 1500, HE = 25

Looks like 8 or Better is far and away the best deal. A "good" player can make 20% more than both holdem and stud. And he can do it with half the bankroll of stud and a third tha bankroll of holdem.

Has anyone here had enough hours multitabling both holdem and 8 or better? Do you agree with Mason's estimates? I believe this book was written in the early 90s so he may have been off.
