You want to end up i nthe position of pushing the the turn. He decided that he liked his hand on the flop, isolated you and took position. If you check this turn and he checks behind a tragedy has just unfolded. If all works to your plan you gain a half bet, if it doesn't you lose 1.5 bets, maybe more. If he has you beat you'll find out for about the same amount either way.

3 bet and lead the turn.

Now if we knew more about the player maybe this isn't the optimal line, but for a randome 5/10 online player that cold calls it certainly is.
