Default Re: Bikes in Las Vegas

[ QUOTE ]
1. Biking in Vegas is surprisingly pleasant. Lots of broad streets with wide shoulders, but bike lanes seem to be near schools. Drivers are very courteous (off the Strip). Never had one make a right turn on red if I was at the corner. Had to wave them through. In fact, they may have been the most bike-friendly drivers I've come across, but I can't explain why since I saw so few bikers.

That could be being next to school zones. I dont' knwo if this was an urban legend or not, but the general belief when I lived in Vegas was the fine for speeding in a school zone was $100 per 1 mph over the limit.
