My thought was I didn't want button to fold, so if he would cc the pot would be even bigger, if I hit my miracle flop. Granted I would have a harder time protecting a marginal hand in a larger pot, but I'm not going past the flop without at least 2 pair. I don't know if this is right or not, I guess that's why I'm asking.
