Guns are being brought into the country illegally from Eastern Europe. If we had no guns in the country, then deaths by shooting would be zero.
We had massive numbers of immigrants from Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, etc, during this time, gangs took the opportunity to come over here and make some money out of the situation.
