Don't get caught up in results oriented thinking. Yes you lost to a crappy 2 pair this time but the odds are against this.

The reason you limp with these hands in large fields is because your preflop equity is very marginal against this many opponents. Why would you want to raise 4 or 5 people when you don't really have an edge? You would just be wasting your money.

The best thing to do is limp and see the flop cheaply. Then if it helps you your pot equity will jump up. Then you can determine the course of action on the flop that best positions you to win the pot and/or build a pot you are favored to win by the river.
