I think you can bet/fold here. Most unknowns will raise somewhere with an A. You can get value from pocket pairs, a few hands holding 2's and may split with hands holding 8. I think check/fold is bad, because of the flush draw. Check/call is bad because it a worse hand that would call a bet will often check it through. I like Bet/Fold.
