On hand 1 I really thought that my hand wasn't the best all the way to the river, but when mp1 checks again the maniac bluffs at it like he always would. I knew mp1 even if he had a piece would fold for 2 bets so I raised. Maniac showed his ace high and I won. It was really the maniac who allowed me to win this pot.
For hand 2, I have no idea what the other guy was thinking. I think he is one of those guys who calls on the end to show you how good of a draw he had on the turn. I thought he wold fold the turn occasionally, and if he had a naked ace hit his pair he would raise me on the river letting me 3 bet, and if no ace fell I thought I could pick it up on the river since I knew he had nothing. Well... I was only half right.
