Sounds like the Friday night game at the Palms; I miss that game.
The Palace Station 3/6 stud/8 was played with a half kill to 5/10 after a player won a hogger pot over a certain limit. I don't recall the limit, but it was small, something like a $40 pot. The winner of the hogger pot also posted a blind, which I think was $5.
On second thought, I'm not really sure the "hogger" posted a blind, I haven't played there since last January. Also, the ante went from $.25 to $50 on the half kill
