How is it false? You have $500. If you win the 1st hand you have $1000, hand#2 you win youve got $2000, win#3 $4000, then $8000, then $16000, $32000, $64000, then all of it. Or youve lost all of it. Unless of course you folded a hand. But whos doing that?
