Is anyone actually offended by this term? I don't get it. If you are personally offended or can understand how someone would be offended, please explain.

My understanding is that the reference to Alito was made to suggest that he is very similar to Scalia (conservative, same judicial philosophy, catholic, italian, etc.) How is this offensive? If the only point of comparison was that they were both Italian I could imagine that someone might not like it (still not overly offensive, but, oh well.)

Is this the equivalent of Phil Ivey being the Tiger Woods of poker?
