The British Are Awesome
Towards the end of WW2, the Germans were trying desperately trying ploys to halt their coming defeat. One such measure was the building of decoy airfields. They built one such field in Holland, out of wood. There were wooden hangers, oil tanks, gun emplacements, trucks, and aircraft. It took weeks and weeks of time and work, and finally the task was complete. That very day, a lone RAF bomber came into view, circled the field once above the strangely silent anti-aircraft guns, and then dropped its payload.
A large, wooden bomb.
