What happened is that you linked an avatar using an image from someone else's site. That person found out that you (and maybe others) have been stealing his bandwidth, so he changed the image.

It has nothing to do with your profile being hacked. If you don't want it to happen again, put the image up on imageshack or something, and link it from there.
