I have the following question about pre-flop play. Suppose that you're in the cut-off, and four people limp. You look down at pocket 8s.

Would you ever consider raising?

Here are some advantages that I see to raising:
1. You might buy yourself the button.
2. You might buy a free card in case you don't hit a set on the flop.
3. You might force out one or both of the blinds and buy a little extra equity in the pot.
