Default Claiming your a pro - Any benifits?

ENGLAND - Not USA/Other.

Im currently student studying, but im not actually considered a student(cant be bothered to explain why).

Anyhow, i wondered what benifits i may get from claiming to be a "professional poker player".

Would i be able to get VAT off products use for poker? Computers/Books/Software? Any other hidden benifits or losses?

Thanks in advanced guys,
I only play $1/2 lol, but assume i can still say im "pro"? or are their requirements?
