Default Re: a question about downswings

[ QUOTE ]
...has me kinda spooked in the head even though i'm essentially 100% confident in my play throughout it.

[/ QUOTE ]

if you do not question your play after you go through this sort of downswing then, imho, you are deluded.

why are you so confident in your play? what criteria do you use that allows for you to be confident that you play well?

for me... even if i am crushing the game for a couple of days and am in the throes of that euphoria that one gets from being on a good run, a euphoria that a self-aware player "knows" is a product of variance and not a product of "good play," the moment that the "run" is over is the moment that i, again, begin to question and analyze my game.

we are never as good, at times, as we think we are nor as bad, at times, as we think we are.

we can only play, anayze and attempt to continue learning.

for your sake i hope that i am misunderstanding your statement quoted above.

the preceding is not offered up as criticism but, rather, as an observation.
