and have to live in frickin Tampa. remember, he's from Boston, his family is in Boston, he grew up a Red Sox fan. it is his dream job, and yes it can get much better for him in Boston. if he leaves now, and some other GM wins a WS next year, his place in Sox history is greatly relegated. if he wins another one, his status as all time legend is basically assured.

also, don't forget about the incredible advantages he is with the Boston payroll. think he wants to give that up?
