I absolutely can't see checking and folding. We'd be getting 4:1, needing 4.2:1 for our flush draw alone. If we can't make up 0.2 BB on this river, something is wrong in the world. Hell, if we know he bets every time, we can assign some outs to our 6's and 8's that will easily push this into a turn call.
