This program does seem like it would do the job(slow down the bleeding) for a person like your dad who just wants to have some fun but refuses to fold weak hands up front.

That's pretty much all I was hoping it would do for my dad. I honestly doubt he'll ever be truly profitable, though he seems to think he will. However, the program turned him from -2 BB/100 (for a loooooooong time) to about -.05 BB/100, and that's only because he still draws to gutshots and things post flop.
