Given how the table had been playing I put him on a range that mostly consisted of Ax or a pocket pair, meaning if he did make a flush it was most likely with a hand that was already beating mine.

On the flop he could be checking a huge range of hands, he'd probably check if he hit hard or if he was scared by the flop. WA/WB, thus I'm not really worried about giving free ones. On the turn I interpret the check to mean a pocket pair lower than queens or a slowplayed monster. The river is either the monster waking up for value, or him smelling weakness in response to my consecutive checks as a chance to steal the pot. Getting 3-1 on the end I think he bets a hand worse than mine plenty often to call here.

He shows QQ and wins the pot.

I thought it was somewhat likely he had AT, or AJ and was unsure of his kicker until the river where he finally had confidence in it, but it was just as likely he had JJ or TT. QQ wasn't really even a consideration as i would expect a preflop re-raise.
