If you maintain a constant win rate playing 1 table or 4 tables, variance is the same. However, variance will SEEM to lessen, because you get more hands in per hour. HOWEVER, in reality your winrate typically goes down as you add more tables, so your variance goes up. HOWEVER, your variance will seem to go down per hour of playing b/c you get in so many more hands per each table.
