Had a bad beat last night when my set lost to a runner-runner and it made me question how I played it. Advice on all streets appreciated.

My 2 main questions:
Was check raising the turn good, I figured MP would bet even w/o an ace
Was the button correct to call the 1st flop bet, w/backdoor flush, backdoor straight and possibly 2 live overs?
