Default Re: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Your symptoms are most compatible with ulnar nerve compression which results in numbness/tingling in the small finger and half of the ring finger. Sometimes elbow pain is noted as well. Carpal tunnel syndrome should result in numbness/tingling of the thumb, index finger, long finger, and half of the ring finger but usually does not include elbow pain.

Try to identify times where you are placing pressure along the inner half of your elbow as these situations should exacerbate your symptoms. If you can eliminate pressure on the ulnar nerve at the elbow, your other symptoms should dissipate. Anti-inflammatories may help but eliminating the mechanical cause (pressure) should do the trick.
